Vision 2010
Redeemer will be known as a Christian community of faith that embraces diversity, nurtures healing, and lives out its values of peace and justice in
the world.
The Redeemer Mission Statement
We are called as a loving community of faith to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in word and action, and to welcome all people who seek a deeper knowledge of God.
We will achieve our mission by:

Creating a vibrant, focused and growing Church that embodies our Christian values and beliefs
Strategic Goal 2:
Implementing programs and services that are meaningful in our daily lives (faith in action)
Strategic Goal 3:
Building a safe environment that encourages us to reach out to our community and people of other faiths and beliefs.

Strategic Objective 1.1
The vestry is representative, engaged with, and leading the strategy and actions of the Redeemer community
Tactics
1.1.1
Establish effective two-way communication with the congregation so that programs and activities reflect the interests and the needs of our members.
1.1.2
Utilize the talents of members through proactive recruitment and involvement in planning and implementation
1.1.3
Appoint functioning vestry committees with action plans and resources to implement programs
1.1.4
Match actions with what people can and want to do (e.g., using time and talent pledges)
Performance indicators:
- Increased participation volunteers, and activities implemented achieve intended results
- Vestry achieves key results in annual action plans
- Average Sunday Attendance increases

Financial Mechanism are in place to allow members and benefactors to contribute to Redeemers programs

Implement Programs and services that are meaningful in our lives
Strategic Objective 2.1
Dynamic faith formation and exploration provides theologically-based inspiration for our programs and activities
2.1.1
Create educational and music programs that meet the needs of the different groups of our community (e.g., adults, children, and seniors)
2.1.2
Implement a program for inter-generation interaction through the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer
2.1.3
Design regular adult education activities at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer
2.1.4
Raise awareness of relevant programs and activities available to our members outside the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer

Increased attendance and participation in services, Sunday School, and activities

Create opportunities for all members to organize and participate in activities for people in need

Report on our service activities to the larger congregation at The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer

Encourage financial and resource contribution to the many programs servicing the special needs of others
2.2.4
Education the children of The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer about Christ’s teaching concerning helping and loving those in need

Participate in regular adult and youth confirmation preparation

Develop inter-faith programs and dialogue to encourage greater understanding within the larger community

Create an inter-faith committee to enhance dialogue with other religious groups

Participate in forums on inter-faith perspectives

Participate in informal social gatherings and celebrations

- Redeemer invests in a halal and kosher kitchen
- Partnership established with other organizations including temples, churches, Islamic schools, mosques, seminaries, etc.
